Billiards Rooms – Since other groups may be utilizing the same room as you, prior to or following your
function, please adhere to the agreed function schedule.  Should your needs change, contact your
banquet manager and every effort will be made to accommodate your requests.
Banquet Rooms- The large banquet rooms must be scheduled through the sales department of the
Comfort Inn prior to making food or beverage choices. Comfort Inn (740)-374-8190
The seating capacity of banquet facilities will vary depending on set up, equipment and/or displays, head
table, or other requirements. Billiards room is limited to layout possibilities

Billing – All banquet and meeting related charges are subject to one master bill. Deposits will be
deducted at final billing. All “no shows” forfeit total deposit.

The fees for utilizing the Billiards Room are as follows:
Weekday Rate, prior 3 p.m. = $25.00 after 3 p.m. = $50.00    
(For each purchase of $300.00 of food and/or beverages, $25.00 will be removed from the Room fee, up
to the $50.00 fee)
Weekend Rate prior 3 p.m. = $75.00 after 3p.m. $150.00
(For each purchase of $500.00 of food and/or beverages, $50.00 will be removed from the Room fee, up
to the $150.00 fee)

Banquet menu and room rates are subject to change at any time without notice.  Charges for function
rooms are based on your program as outlined on this agreement including the group food and beverage
function.  We reserve the right to charge additional fees if your group requires special set-up, planning,
or equipment.  In order to maintain the quality and appearance of our facilities, decorations, flowers, etc.
need to be approved prior to set – up.  Please consult with our banquet staff regarding your
requirements.  Damages will be billed to the customer.  We also reserve the right to change the function
space reserved due to changes in anticipated attendance, with notification to your organization.
Prior credit may be established upon completion of a credit application and approval by the River City
Tavern & Grill.  We reserve the right to request all or part of the bill prior to the function.  Functions
must be paid for in advance or at the conclusion of such event unless direct billing status has been
applied for and approved 10 days prior to your function.  Full payment of all group charges incurred are
due and payable 10 days from the billing date. Payments not received within 10 days are subject to 2%
per month service charge on any outstanding balance.

Audio / Visual Equipment – The River City Tavern and Grill does have a limited supply of audio / visual
equipment available for presentations, meetings, etc.  If we do not have the needed equipment, we will
be happy to make referrals to the customer for rental agencies; however, the customer shall make
arrangements for the rental of any needed equipment, and should be made at least 72 hours in advance
of the function.

Room Set – Up – If a change from the original room set – up is requested on the day of the function, a
minimum labor charge of $50.00 will be added to the banquet bill.

Banquet Menus – Our menus include popular and delicious items.  We suggest that for quick and
efficient service, two or three menu selections be made for everyone attending.  

Final menu selections and an estimated number of people must be submitted at least one week prior to
your function date.  A 10% increase or decrease in the estimated number of people may be made no later
than 72 hours prior to the time of the function.  All groups will be charged at least the minimum
guarantee.  If no final guarantee is received, the number indicated on the original agreement will be
considered the correct and guaranteed number of guests.  If final menu selection is not made one week
prior, substitution is at the discretion of River City Tavern & Grill.





Beverage Service – River City offers a complete selection of beverages to compliment your functions.  
Please note that all alcoholic beverage sales and service are regulated by the West Virginia State Liquor
Control Board.  The River City Tavern & Grill, as licensee, is responsible for administration of these
regulations.  Therefore, it is our policy that no liquor, wine, or beer may be brought into our banquet
facilities or the restaurant.

Security – Liability for any damages incurred by banquet attendees or guests are the responsibility of the
organization booking the event and will be billed accordingly.  River City Tavern & Grill is not
responsible for the security of or delivery / pick-up of any equipment, displays, printed material or any
other items necessary for any function.  Please consult with your banquet manager for additional
information.

Tax Exemptions – Tax - exempt status will be granted with documentation 10 days prior to your event.  
Ohio laws require that the tax – exempt organizations remit all monies on the tax – exempt billing.  We
cannot offer tax – exempt status to anyone paying with a personal check or credit card.
Service Gratuity - 18% service gratuity standard on all banquet and large group functions.
This is included in the banquet price.
Other Policies – River City Tavern & Grill shall not be liable for non – performance of this contract when
such non – performance is attributed to labor troubles, disputes or strikes, accidents, government
(Federal, State, or Local) regulations of, or restricted upon travel or transportation, non – availability of
food, beverage, or supplies, riots, national emergencies, acts of God or other causes whether
enumerated wherein or not, which are beyond the reasonable control of River City Tavern & Grill which
prevents or interferes with the restaurant’s performance.  In such event, the restaurant shall not be
liable for any damages, whether actual or consequential, which may result from such non – performance.

Notwithstanding any other provisions of this agreement, owner(s) and/or manager(s) of the River City
Tavern & Grill shall be relieved from all requirements hereof, and this agreement shall terminate if owner
(s) shall sell, transfer, or otherwise convey its interest in this restaurant, provided owner has given at
least 30 days notice of the transfer by owner, then, owner may assign hereunder, and owner(s) shall be
relieved of all obligations and responsibilities under this agreement upon transfer of all advance
payments and deposits received by owner(s) to the new owner(s). Feel free to call with any questions.

Fresh breast of chicken and sliced pineapple flame-grilled in our own teriyaki glaze, served over a bed of rice
with mixed vegetables.

Cajun chicken pasta
Blackened chicken sliced and artfully blended in a spicy alfredo sauce, with fresh vegetables, and fettucini.

Monterey Chicken
Seasoned and grilled fresh breast of chicken, smothered in mixed cheeses & fresh chives, served with honey-

Shrimp Florentine
Six jumbo shrimp, broiled with Florentine stuffing, topped with a rich, creamy, Alfredo sauce, and surrounded by
flavorful rice.

Stuffed Flounder
Breaded crab-filled flounder, broiled to perfection, smothered in a robust cream sauce, served with a fresh
vegetable medley.

Prime Rib
A seasoned 8 ounce cut of slow roasted Prime Rib with Au Jus served with group’s choice of potato. (Baked or
Cheddar mashed). (All medium to medium well).

Herb-Crusted Chicken
An 8oz boneless chicken breast, baked in a delicious garlic and seasoned crust, served with mashed potatoes.
